2008 West Central Illinois Dirt Oval Point Series.

The series will consists of 4 races at 4 different locations.

Details

  • All classes will run 3 heats and a main
  • $20 entry fee, per car, per class (Series NO Exceptions)
  • All entries for all classes must be 2wd, rear wheel drive only
  • Single speed transmissions only
  • Electric - Any 6 cell NiMh up to 5000 mah. Any 2 cell Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) up to 6000 mah. NiCd or NiMh are legal in all classes.
  • Brushless Motor only
  • Practice starts at 3:00 p.m.
  • Tech at 5:00 p.m.
  • RACES WILL START AT 6:00 P.M. - SHARP!

Mod Sprint Car (electric)
Max wing surface area: 7" x 8" including the spoiler

  • Top and bottom can have a 1/4" wicker on side panels
  • Left side panel max 5" x 8" long
  • Right side panel max 3 3/4" tall x 8" long
  • Front wing max 4" x 3" long and 1 1/2" high, that includes 1/4" wicker at top/bottom
  • No additional fins, etc.
  • Leading edge of the top of the center section in the wing must be a minimum of 5" from the front
  • Max wheel base of 11"
  • Max width of 10 1/4"
  • Off-sets are allowed as long as it is within max width
  • 2.2 buggy tires and rims on front and rear. May run truck wheels on rear with buggy tires on them. Car must meet the series width rules. NO street tires or foam tires!

Battery Limit:

  • Any 6 cell NiMh up to 5000 mah
  • Any 2 cell LiPo up to 6000 mah

No wedge bodies will be allowed.
No side air dams will be allowed.
Rear spoiler is allowed - 2 1/4" long or side x 1 1/2" tall
Bodies may have the front windshield and back glass cut out and Lexan can be added to the inside to create a tunnel effect.
All wheel wells must be cut out.
All wheels must fit under body inside.

Gas Truck

  • Use truck bodies
  • 2.2 stadium truck tires (No foam tires)
  • Side air dam from B pillar to back side and can go no taller than the height of the cab
  • Width 13"
  • Single-speed transmissions
  • Jato guys have to lock in their transmissions
  • Weight limit - 64 oz
  • Motor limit - .12 to .18

Nitro Sprint

  • Any sprint car hood and tail tank. Nose wing optional.
  • Any motor up to .18
  • 75cc fuel tank max. Associated and Losi tanks do not need slug installed in the tank.
  • Must run a muffler
  • Must run 1/10th buggy/car pin/ribbed tires on front and rear. May run truck wheels on rear with buggy wheels.
  • Weight - 54 oz
  • 2wd only, single-speed transmission

Dimensions:

  • 10 1/4" wide max. 11" wheel base max. Car must roll freely thru width box.

Wing
Top Wing

  • Center - 7"w x 8" long, including spoiler. 1" spoiler max.
  • Left side - 5" tall x 8" long
  • Right side - 3 3/4" tall by 8" long
  • 3/4" max wickers on side panels only on top and bottom edges

Front Wing

  • Center - 4 3/4"w x 3 1/16" long max
  • Left side - 3 1/16" x 1 1/2"w
  • Right side - 3 1/16" x 1 1/2"w

Leading edge of the top of the center section in the wing must be a minimum of 5" from the ground.
Cage
Cage must be made from round stock. 80% of the cage must be round stock. Flat stock may be incorporated into minimum of a 4 post cage required that resembles a driver's cockpit. Must have right side nerf bar. Must have a rear surrounding tail tank.
